Kano:25 yrs old house wife commits suicide

25 years –old house wife, Mariam Usman , last Thursday committed suicide at Sheka quarters, Kano metropolis.
Kano police command, Monday confirmed the incident.
The deceased , who had relocated from her matrimonial home to receive medical care under the guidance of her parents, when the incidence occurred,.
The spokesman, Kano police command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the incidence, said preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased had committed suicide.
He said “ on 13th January 2022, we received a very unpleasant report, that one Mariam Usman , 25 years old house wife committed suicide.
Kiyawa further said “ she had returned to her family residence in search of medical solution to her ill health, our findings revealed that, she suddenly bite her father, then they pulled her into a room, she bite off her own finger and broke the window loafers.
“the father informed the police during investigations that, late Mariam kept shouting that she should be allowed to go to her husband’s house to collect a document.
“we received an emergency call, CP Samaila Shuaibu Dikko swung into action, our officers and men were dispatched to the scene, the lady was evacuated to Muritala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where she was confirmed dead.”
Police authorities in the state appealed to residents to kept vigil over sick persons, who exhibit traits of committing suicide, urging that such persons should be taken to the appropriate medical facility, for urgent attention to evade likely case of suicide.
