A Kano High court no 15 ,sitting at Miller road, Tuesday sentence, one Balarabe Ahmad, resident of Unguwar Uku quarters in Kano metropolis to death by hanging.
The court presided by justice Nasiru Saminu found the convict guilty of committing culpable homicide, an offence contrary to the provisions of section 221 of the penal code law.
The prosecutor from Kano barrister Ministry of justice, Umar Yakubu told the court that the convict had an argument with one Mudashir Kamis , in the process stabbed him to death.
The prosecution produced witnesses and tendered exhibits before the court.
The convict denied committing the offence.
The judge, Nasiru Saminu handed that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.
The defence advocate, A H Mukthar plead with the court for leniency, urging the court to tamper justice with mercy.
The court then sentenced Balarabe to death by hanging, noting that the convict has 30 days in which to appeal against the death verdict
