Governor  Bello Masari to journalists, fear God

Katsina state governor, Bello  Masari has cautioned Citizen journalism  practitioners to refrain from the  alleged ungodly act of spreading fake news.

Masari, who spoke at the  truanting ceremony of  Yusuf Buhari as Talban Daura emirate council,  bemoan the flakes skills used by bloggers to  deliberately misinform their audience.

The governor, who spoke in local parlance said “ we have those who  report the truth, we also have those who specialize is disbursing lies using their  blogs and social  handles to misguide, misinform and misdirect the public.

“these set of people should remember that there is judgment day  coming ahead, what you sow you will surely reap,  you sit within the comfort of your room, or you sit by the road side and you craft false hood and disseminate it to the public, you will sow what you reap.

He said the act of flakes and dissemination of falsehood are acts that contravenes public trust, adding that  the action , which is now allegedly rampant  is  a breach of the provisions of  mosaic injunctions, urging media practitioners to imbibe the  fear Allah, while discharging their  civic duties..
