Gombe: Gov Inuwa Yahaya laments huge debt inherited from his predecessors… Disburse 1000 tricycles to youths

Gombe state Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahya has exercised a youth empowerment programme targeted at empowering 1000 beneficiaries.
The governor speaking at the public presentation of tricycles held at Pantami stadium, said that the exercise is designed to provide employment opportunities to the youths with the motive to improve the lives of the people in the state.
He added that the State government has commenced moves to improve the transportation system , noting that the disbursement of 1,000 TVS tricycles was part of the targeted drive to achieve a friendly transport system .
The governor lamented the burden heaped on his administration by the huge debt incurred from the previous administration in the state.
In his speech , the chairman of the tricycles Association expressed his gratitude to the state government for what he described as an honor , commending the increase in the number of the tricycles disbursed by the state government from 300 to 1000.
