Ramadan: Hike of food prices : Fear God, Sultan appeal’s to Nigerian traders

The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar has appealed to business communities across the country to imbibe the fear of God in their daily dealings, prior, during and after the holy month of Ramadan.
The monarch and spiritual leader urged the federal, state and local government to diverse ways to curb the persistent hike of prices of food stuffs and essential commodities.
The monarch further advised that the marketers should buy and sell within the premise of the fear of their creator,, urging that they should be weary of the day of judgment
He urged the traders at all levels to reduce the prices to invokes Allah’s blessings on themselves, expressing worries over the inexplicable indiscriminate resort to inflation of prices of food items during the Holy month of Ramadan.
The Sultan in his remarks during the closing ceremony of the 36th edition of the National Qur’anic Recitation and Competition last weekend in Bauchi, decry the skyrocketing of cost of food stuffs and essential items
“Ramadan is coming, let me used this medium to calls on our market people who buy and sell to be careful of what God Almighty will ask them when they get before him on the day of the judgment over the persistent increased of food items.
