Police smash Kidnaping Syndicate in Ogun, arrest nine suspects
The Nigeria police , Ogun state command has smashed a syndicate the specialize in kidnapping for ransom.
The command alleged that the gang has been responsible for terrorizing residents and commuters plying Abeokuta Ayetoro road .
The commands spokesman, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi last Monday note that the suspects were arrested last Sunday, disclosing police operatives had raided .
He said the raid was jointly carried out with support from local hunters, so safe corps, OPC, vigilante and men of Amotekun corps.
He revealed that members of the gang in police nest are, Hammed Taiwo, Kehinde Jimoh, Umar Sanda, Sanda Aliu, Ali Morandu, Usman Abubakar, Usman Mohammed, Umaru Ahmadu and Umaru Momodu
According to him, the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole has directed that the case should be transferred to anti kidnapping section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
He averred that, on completion of investigation the suspects will be prosecuted.
