Delivering the address, Buhari Abba said “ in comparison with the data obtained in previous months, GBV cases are still on the increase.
He further said “ we call on the government to intensify efforts to put laws that protect individuals against GBV in place, so that perpetrators can desist from such act.
Buhari urged school authorities to be vigilant by monitoring and curb activities that may result to GBV.
In his words “ we call on teachers/lecturers to uphold their duties towards the students in their care as teachers they need to protect such students not violate them.”
The centre then urged members of the public to report GBV cases to the relevant authorities, cautioning that silence in the face of the perpetration of GBV acts could be translated to mean a stamp of authority to perpetrate the unholy act.
