Kano: Neighborhood vigilante operatives stab 17 years old boy to death

Kano police command, Tuesday confirmed the arrest of five vigilante operatives, for allegedly stabbing to death, one Ahmed Musa a.ka Halifa, who is a resident of Dorayi Chiranchi in Kumbotso local government , Kano .
Those in police net in connection with murder of Halifa are, Emmanuel Koroyero 34 years old, Jeremiah Timothy, 32 years old, Auwal Jafar 25 years old , Uwais Haladu 45 years old and Elisha Ayuba 33 years old all residents of Sani Abacha Youth Centre in Kano.
The suspects , who are all attached to Sani Abacha Youth Centre, where they worked as security guards , it is reported they had minor squabbles with the deceased, in the process they battered him with clubs and whip, under the circumstance the operatives pulled out a knife with which they stabbed Halifa on the neck.
The 17 years old was rushed to hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
The public relations officer, Kano police command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the incident told journalists that the suspects were in police net.
In his words “ on 21st January 2021, at about 11am, we received an emergency call from Sabon Titi Madobi road, that some persons battered one Ahmed Musa 17 years old, he was stabbed with a knife.
“CP Sumaila Dikko acted swiftly by ordering the DPO Dorayi division, SP Ibrahim Hamma to act accordingly, all necessary policing measures taken resulted into the arrest of the suspects, the case has been transferred to SCID homicide department for discreet investigations.”
Kiyawa disclosed that on completion of investigations the matter will be charged to court.
