Easter Celebration: Bauchi Police command assures residents of safety of lives and properties

The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi command , Umar Mamman Sanda has disclosed that  security networks have been activated across the state to ensure a hitch free easter celebrations within the command.

Sanda  assured the state  residents that officers and men of the command have been strategically deployed to keep vigil throughout the state.

The CP in a press release issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command ,CP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, and made available to journalists, in Bauchi, on Tuesday said “While felicitating with members of the public as the Christendom commemorates the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Commissioner of Police is hereby calling on religious leaders, worshipers and residents of the State to cooperate with the Police and other Security agencies, as adequate and comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free celebration.

“Furthermore, the Commissioner of Police has directed all Area commanders, Heads of Departments and Divisional Police Officers to ventilate the State with overt and covert security deployments in order to safeguard lives and properties, provide security coverage to all worship and recreational centers and conduct raids on identified trouble spots, while all the Police Divisions of the Command have been charged to emplace adequate measures in their neighborhood Policing beats.

“Consequently, the Command will ensure high visibility Policing will be maintained before, during, and after the Celebration; as Police patrol vehicles have been strategically deployed on our highways and undercover operatives and foot patrol Policemen have also been mobilized to cover every nooks and crannies.

The statement said “the Commissioner of Police therefore, enjoined the good People of the State to be peaceful, during celebration.

“The command also calls on the general public to report on case of any distress before, during and after the Celebration, members of the public are advised to visit any of the Police Stations nearest to them, and can also make a complaint through NPF rescue me Apps or call our emergency number; 08151849417, 09053872273.”  Wakil stated.
