Bola Ahmed Tinubu Groups canvass  Support For Faleke, Barau As Chief Of Staff, Senate President

ABUJA – The Support Groups For Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on the President Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider the appointment of Hon. James Faleke as his Chief of Staff.

The group also recommended and endorsed the nomination of Senator Barau Jibrin representing Kano North Senatorial District as President of the Senate in the 10th National Assembly.

The groups disclosed this at a joint press conference in Abuja .

According to the Co Convener of the groups, Engr Salisu Magaji said they are confident that Faleke is best suited for the role considering his unhindered synergy and understanding of the person of President Elect.

” Another thing that cannot be questioned is the experience, tenacity and capacity of Hon. Faleke to coordinate the administrative proceedings of the incoming administration from within as a member of the Presidency.

” We believe strongly that our President Elect will make the best choices for the growth and economic recovery of our dear nation and for the common benefit of all Nigerian citizens.

” Consequently, support groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu hereby call on the President Elect and all other National stakeholders of All Progressives Congress ( APC  ) to positively respond to our call to be canvassing massively for the appointment of Hon. James Faleke Abiodun to serve as Chief of Staff to the President in the next administration ” He said.

He noted that this call was predicated on the assurance by the President-elect to form a cabinet of National Competence that will fit perfectly into his agenda for a new Nigeria.

Magaji noted that the position of Chief of Staff is very critical to the success of the incoming administration and must be reserved for the best hand.

” We have no doubt that he will make the best choices in assembling his team . We are also guaranteed that round pegs will be placed in round holes” He added.

On his own part, Babajide Akin-thomas said the North West, out of the six geopolitical zones, gave Tinubu the highest number of votes and he deserves a better role in the next government.

” Kano State where Senator Jibrin emerges from, gave the President Elect the second highest number of votes nationwide, only behind Lagos State.

It is no doubt that Barau contributed immensely to the emergence of Asiwaju, he is also a high ranking member of the Senate and by this he deserves to be rewarded with the Senate Presidency seat based on his contribution, competence and character ”

The group also cautioned those calling for Interim National Government and to disrupt the May 29th inauguration to have a rethink and desist from such a plot.

” We are aware of the disturbing reports of sinister plots by certain elements within and outside the current administration to tactically frustrate the May 29th inauguration plans with calls for an interim government.  We must stare categorically that such calls are anti democratic and we condemn it in totality.

” We call on President Muhammadu Buhari as well as the Department of State Services  ( DSS ) to preserve their integrity by looking into these reports and bring every perpetrator to justice”  He added.
