2023 : Bauchi state Gov Bala Mohammed Joins Presidential Race

THE incumbent Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has thrown his hat into the 2023 General Election, presidential contest, on the platform of the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, pledging that he would invest his vast experience to salvage Nigeria from its present challenges.
Bala made the disclosure in Abuja , when a consortium of young Nigerians under the leadership of GBAM presented the party’s presidential nomination to the governor.
Our correspondent reports that the form was purchased by the group, to compel the serving governor and former FCT minister to vye for the presidency.
Mohammed said, if saddled with the responsibility to govern Nigeria, his administration will ensure pleasant amalgam to actualize the aspiration of Nigerians by shunning nepotism, adding that he will rescue the country by cementing the differences among the citizens
He said his planned government will strive hard to make sure citizens from works of life are not disappointed.
He commended BAM for the gesture, noting that his mission is to ensure that Nigerian youths and women are carried along at all levels of governance, while applauding the group under its national coordinator, Comrade Jibo Muhammad , he further promised to flag off initiatives that will aimed at upgrading the standard of living among Nigerians.
Bala then boasted that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is the strongest, most formidable and largest network of political party on the African continent.
In his vote of thanks, the Bauchi State PDP chairman Hamza Koshe Akuyam described the move by the group as spirit of sportsmanship .
It would be also recalled that the Bauchi state governor last week hosted two PDP presidential aspirants namely former Senate president, Abubakar Bokola Saraki and Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state.
The duo had called on Bala to discuss the chances of adopting a consensus presidential candidate for their party, come 2023 General Election.
