The Ministry of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation in Kano State has successfully rescued forty eight people who were trafficked
The Kano state government with the cooperation of the Anti Human Trafficking Agency has succeeded in rescuing forty eight people from Ghana to Lagos who were trafficked.

In a statement signed by the Ministry’s Outreach Director, Hajiya Halima Sani Gadanya shared with the press today, she announced that the rescue operation under the leadership of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Charity and Poverty Alleviation in Kano State, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani confirmed that those who were rescued included four (4) adult women and twenty-six (26) young children between the ages of 15 and 16 and eighteen (18) girls.

The commissioner is doing everything possible to bring back these people from Lagos State to Kano in good health.

The commissioner was accompanied by some of the directors of the Ministry, the Secretary General of the Kano State Emergency Relief Agency and some officers of the National Anti Human Trafficking Agency.
