The Kano state government has sued thee schools in court
The private and Voluntary Board in Kano State has sued the three schools which include Crescent International, Ibni Mas’ud Kabuga and Kuma Matasa Secondary School of Naibawa.
In a summary summon file presented before the Magistrate Court No. 36 and 39,, all of in Gyadi Gyadi on Monday, Crescent International School was accused of refusing to pay the tax of ten percent which is required by law. contravening section 11 of the Board Act.
However, the court adjourned the hearing to Monday, September 9, 2024, to hear the case.
Also, the court issued an order to close the IBN-Masudu School and Matasa Secondary School and for violating the law of the board
IBN-Masudu and Matasa secondary schools were inspected by the board a few days ago during an unannounced visit on suspicion of working in bad conditions, placing students in buildings that threaten the lives of students
