Police Nab 24 Years Old Man For Chopping  Off The Hand of His Childhood Friend  In Kano


Kano Police command has arrested , one Abdulkareem Ali, 24 years old resident of Gyadi Gyadi quarters in  Tarauni local government area,  for allegedly  chopping off the hand of  his childhood friend  .

The victim, Sadiq Hamisu narrating his ordeal  said “we were once friends, befor we parted ways.  That was after I gained admission to study in a higher institution.

Sadiq  went on to further alleged that  “Sometimes ago, an incident happened in our community, there was a marriage party and an MP went missing, my friends were accused of stealing the missing MP, to settle the matter I paid the owner of  lost MP, N4500.

“After the incident, anytime, i  came across Abdulkareem, he kept referring to me as friend to thieves, I warned him repeatedly he will not refrain.

“On the fateful day, he repeated the verbal insults by calling me as friend of thieves, this led to physical combat in the process, he used a  sword to stab me on my hand, which led to the amputation of the hand.

The suspect, AbdulKareem Ali, who confessed to the crime, said he regretted his action, he confessed  that during  the quarrel  between him and the victim , he opted to use the sword in self defense.

The suspect said “ I regret my action, anytime, I take a look at what I did to Sadiq, I feel bad, I cant sleep, am  begging for forgiveness.”

The spokesman, Kano police command, Dsp Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa corroborate that Abdulkareem is in police net.

He confirmed that the suspect was arrested for chopping off the hand of his childhood friend, “ the case is at the state Criminal Investigation Department. SCID” Kiyawa noted.

Dsp Kiyawa said “ The suspect is very popular in their community  for bragging and threatening to  chop off peoples hand, he is mow in our custody, investigation have been completed and the case will be charged to court.”
