NUJ Kano mourns the passing of Abubakar Yakasai
Kano state council of the Nigeria union of journalists expressed it’s heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, staff of Rahma radio and the entire members of the pen over the demise of Abubakar Dahiru Yakasai of Rahma radio
In a statement jointly signed by the council’s chairman comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi and secretary Abubakar Shehu kwaru described the death of Yakasai as great loss to Media community in Kano and beyond
The statement recalled that late Abubakar Yakasai who was pioneer court and crime reporter of Rahma radio was a humble, dedicated and reliable contributed a lot to the development of journalism during his life time calling on others to emulate him
It added that his his death left a vacuum difficult to fill
The council therefore prayed to God Almighty to make jannatul Firdaus to be final abode to the deceased and for his family and colleagues fortitude to bear the loss with courage
