NUJ Kano Council Chairman Applauds Gov. Abba Yusuf for Advancing Journalism…

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kano State Council, Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, has commended Governor Abba Yusuf for his commitment to advancing the journalism profession in the state.

Comrade Dederi made this statement in a release signed by himself and shared with The Media outlets

Sulaiman Dederi expressed profound gratitude and appreciation for the recent recognition conferred upon the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, as the Grand Patron of the union.

“This prestigious honor, presented by the National President of the NUJ, Mr. Chris Isiguzo, underscores the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the advancement of journalism, media freedom, and the welfare of journalists in Kano State and across Nigeria. His Excellency’s support has significantly strengthened the media profession, ensuring that journalists operate in an environment that promotes truth, accountability, and transparency,” the Chairman said.

“We, as members of the NUJ, take pride in having a Governor who recognizes the vital role journalism plays in the development of our democracy.”

He added that the NUJ will remain committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and looks forward to continuing its collaborative relationship with Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration, fostering a positive and productive partnership between the government and the press.

The Chairman, on behalf of the Council and all its members, also extended his deepest gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for this well-deserved recognition and to Mr. Chris Isiguzo, the NUJ National President, for his leadership and dedication to the advancement of journalism in Nigeria.
