*Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kano State Command*
*Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini Tasks officers and men to rededicate themselves for better service delivery*
The State Commandant, NSCDC Kano command, Comdt Shafi’u Abdulmumini has again convened a strategic meeting, this time with the Command’s 7 area commanders and the 44 divisional officers. Also in attendance were the Command’s 2ic, Heads of departments of administration, Operations, Intelligence as well as critical national assets and infrastructure. The maiden meeting was aimed at mapping out strategy and streamlining the operational efficacy of the command.
In his remarks during the meeting, Comdt Shafi’u enjoined the area commanders as well as the divisional officers to work in line with the core mandates of civil defence. He further tasked them to behave and conduct themselves in accordance with ethics and standard operating procedure of the Corps.
” I’m not here to witch-hunt anybody, rather I have been posted and mandated to do all I can to move the Corps forward in the state. Therefore, I want you to support and cooperate with me so that collectively we’ll take civil defence to greater height and optimally serve the good people of Kano. This can truly be achieved through dedication to duty.” Comdt Shafi’u said.
In another development, Comdt Shafi’u Abdulmumini received the trophy won by Kano civil defence football team recently in a tournament organised by a nongovernmental organization, Know your neighbor. The trophy was handed over to the the state Commandant by the head of welfare department, DC Edegbo Akpa Ahmoda. Certificates and medals also won by the sports men of the command, were presented to the state Commandant who appreciated and applauded them, charging them to do more in making the Corps proud wherever they will be.
