Kano magistrate court no 24 has ordered that, one Hafsat Isa, be remanded in correctional custody for bathing sister wife with hot water causing grievous hurt.
The police has dragged the defendant before the court stating that , Hafsat and Talatu were married to same husband , adding that quarrel ensued between the duo , in the process , Hafsat boiled hot water with a bad intention, , she poured the hot water on Talatu.
The prosecution further told the court that the defendant acted in the manner that caused grievous hurt, the injured women was taken to a government owned medical facility, where she received medical attention, the court heard.
The charge sheet added that the defendant had violated the provisions of the penal code law.
Hafsatu denied the allegations slammed against her before the court sitting at Gyadi Gyadi court complex.
The advocate to the defendant, Nadir Ahmed, prayed the court to release her on bail.
Senior magistrate Umma Sani Kurmawa refused to grant the application for bail.
The court note that, it was still observing the health conditions of the injured woman, before whether to determine to grant the application for bail.
The court ordered that Hafsat should be remanded in correctional custody.
The case is adjourned to November 23, for further mention.
