Kano HOS Gives NIM Unconditional Support

THE Kano State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa has given assurances to the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) that civil servants in the state will be encouraged to register with the institute, with the ultimate goal of enhancing their professional capacities and improving service delivery to the public.

He said by doing so, the state government aims to demonstrate its commitment to developing a more efficient and effective public service, recognizing the critical role that skilled and knowledgeable civil servants play in driving progress and development.

“By partnering with NIM, the government seeks to provide its civil servants with access to specialized training, and empowering them to deliver high-quality services that meet the evolving needs of the populace.”He said

The Head of Service made the assurance while receiving a delegation from the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) on a courtesy visit to his office yesterday.

He expressed his commitment to enhancing the capacity of civil servants in Kano State, and emphasized the importance of their registration with the institute as a crucial step towards achieving this goal.

He acknowledged the vital role that a well-trained and professionalized public service plays in driving progress and development, and reiterated his determination to foster a culture of excellence and efficiency in the state’s civil service.

Speaking earlier, the chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Kano State Chapter, Ado Shu’aibu Rabo, revealed plans to host a prestigious summit in Kano State, aimed at bringing together professionals, policymakers, and stakeholders to share insights and ideas on driving sustainable development and excellence in public service.

Rabo appealed to the Head of Service to lend his support and leverage his office to ensure the success of the summit.

He requested assistance in mobilizing civil servants, stakeholders, and resources to participate in the summit, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and partnership in achieving the event’s objectives.

In their individual remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Establishment Directorate, office of the Head of Service, Umar Muhammad Jalo, and the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Human Resources, Dr Ibrahim Garba Muhammad urged the institute to intensify its efforts in advancing the institute’s objectives, particularly in light of the emergence of new associations in the field.
