As part of strategic measures under the able leadership of the Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly Rt Hon Jibril Ismail Falgore, to reposition and enhance the capacity of legislative aides for more effective service delivery, the Kano State House of Assembly has commenced a two-day seminar for enhancing capacity building among legislative aides for better results at the Kano State House of Assembly.
In a press statement signed and issued by the Rt Hon Speaker’s spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai on Thursday.
The training of more than 50 legislative Aids, which started on 25/7/2024, featured in-depth explanations of the duties, responsibilities, and boundaries of legislative aides for their respective principals aimed at enhancing individual performance and, by extension, the Kano Assembly.
While presenting his opening remarks, the Speaker, of Kano State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Jibril Ismail Falgore said they are organizing the program for legislative aides, with the theme “Enhancing the capacity of legislative aides for effective service to their principals.”
Falgor further expressed that capacity building for all public servants through training and retraining is an essential component of His Excellency, Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf’s blueprint.
On the other hand, the head of the team, consultant, and presenter, former clerk Alh Lawan Badamasi Gezawa, highlights the workshop’s importance, emphasizing its strategic role in shaping the future engagement of legislative aides.
Meanwhile, Alh Abdullahi Alfa encouraged the participants to be highly interactive during the workshop.
The training, which commenced today, is focused on enhancing the capacity of legislative aides for their respective principals and will conclude on 26/7/2024.
Dignnitaries at the workshop include Chief Clerk Bashir Diso, Director of Planning, Research, Statistics, and Library, Mal Hamisu Satatima, Director of Information and Publication, Mal Garba Kadawa, Director of Legal, Barrister Nasidi Aliyu, Director Legislative Mal Inuwa Kawo.
