Fitilar Jama’a Bichi disburse Ramadan Palliatives to hospital patient , orphan, widows
The Fitilar Jama’a Bichi Association in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan has disbursed consumables to orphans, widows and people living with disability.
The items distributed to the beneficiaries of the gesture ,includes, rice, millet spaghetti and sorghum.
The Chairman of the association, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu said the exercise was targeted to serve as a relief from the burden of the less priviledge within Bichi domain.
Malikawa who was represented by the vice Chairman of the association, Ali Ibrahim Bichi, said the organization was touched by the hardship been suffered by orphans and less privileged people in the society, which prompted their decision to act appropriately.
He further disclosed that the food items been distributed were worth over two million Naira, in efforts to bring succour to over six hundred targeted beneficiaries .
According to him, the beneficiaries , which comprises of people living with disability were selected from across forty four villages.
He applaud the philanthropic spirit exhibited by those who supported the project in cash and kind.
He revealed that the association’s Ramadan daily feeding gesture would also be extended to patients on admission at Bichi General Hospital , henceforth up to the end of the Ramadan period.
