FCT LG Election: Opposition PDP takes over Aso Rock

The opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP last weekend won the local government election in Abuja Municipal Area Council. AMAC.
Our checks revealed that , Nigeria’s seat of power, Aso Rock is located within AMAC geographical arrangement.
Results from last Saturday , FCT Local Government elections shows that, Christopher Zakka, PDP scored 19,302 votes, his closest rival , Muritala Karshi of the ruling APC, scored 13, 249.
The National Chairman of the opposition party, Iyorchia Ayu has hailed the victory recorded by his party ,in three out of six LGA’s in FCT , as an indicator that their party enjoys mass support amidst Nigerian electorate.
