Breaking: Former Assistant Secretary Kano FA, Kamal Suleiman losses mum

The mother of the immediate past assistant Secretary, Kano state Football Association , KSFA, hajiya Aisha Musa Bichi is dead.
The son of the deceased, who served as the immediate past assistant secretary of the state FA, Kamal Adamu Suleiman, Wednesday afternoon confirmed the demise of his mother.
Kamal said the deceased was buried on Wednesday morning in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
Late Aisha 65 , left behind nine children, 4 male, 5 females.
The customary mourning session is been observed at Hotoron Arewa , behind Chula Filling station, Kamal stated.
The deceased is wife to the immediate elder brother to former, Kano state director of Sports, Nasiru Suleiman.

International Women’s Day 2022: Women Lawyers clamor for creation of family courts in Kano

Women lawyers under the aegis of International Federattion of Women Lawyers, FIDA Kano state chapter has advocate for the establishment of special courts on familyy matters.
The group lamented the delay been witnessed in the trial of cases of Sexaul and Gender Based Violence, SGBV, explaining that the creaattion of the special court will help the issue of access to justice.

The secretary, FIDA Kano state chapter, Kaltumi Mohammed in a chat with journalists, she said similar to the creation of special courts for electoral matters, also they are advocating for the creattion of special family courts to help curb issues of SGBV.
The FIDA scribe speaking at a one day symposium organizeed by WHEEL and AIHI to mark 2022 International Women’s Day held at 10 to 10 rrestuaruant, said to further fight SGBV the penal code laws should be amened to accommodate SGBV offences
Kaltumi stated that the domestication of the childs rights act in the state is long overdue, appealing to the state lawmakers and the execcutive arm of governemnt to expedite action on the domesticiation of the child rights act.
In her words “we have been advocating for the domesticattion of the childs right act, we are also calling for the setting up of family courts, just like we have the courts for electoral matters.
“we have been calling for an amendment of the penal code laws, for an inclusion of punsihment for SGBV offences, if this is achieved, this will help in the fight against these offences.”
“presently the offenders feel noting is been done, if these measures are taken, we will achieve judicious trial of these offenders and knock out all the technicaltties hindering the trial of offenders.”
The women lawyers warned security agencies that engage in the resolution of rape cases without reocurse to the laid down procedures of the law to desist or be ready to face the wrath of the law.
Kaltumi furthe lamented the high level of influx of SGBV cases been reported in the state, noting that all stakeholders should converge to wage legal war against the perpetrating of the act.
1st Nigeria Para Sports Festival: 147 man Kano contingent set to storm FCT Abuja

Kano state state will despatch 147 man contigent to take parrt at the inaugural editon of the National Paralympic Sports Festival, pyramidsportsnews.com reports.
The sports festival organized by the Federal ministry of Youths and Sports is to feature Persons Living With Disabilities, PWD .
The special sports festival is fixed for 9th to 15th April 2022., in FCT Abuja.
The chairman, Kano state Sports Commission, KSSC, Ibrahim Galadima speaking with sports writers in Kano disclosed that the state will despatch to the festival, 147 man contigent comprising of athlets, coaches, medical personel and journalists.
He futher revealed that the state athlets will feature in 10 events out of the 15 games on the list of para activities at the festival.
Galadima said “ preparations have gone far, our athletes are training at different centres, we have alrready made commitments by registering for the games.
“we thank Kano state governemnt for the supports, our 2022 calendar is loaded, we are sttriving hard to make sure Kano state is repesented and not just to compete but to make our marks by making the state proud.” Galadima stated.
Lamentation: “I have been abandoned” says Kano veteran footballer – Sagir Agi
Kano state born soccer veteran, Sagir Labaran Gabari has alleged that following his been struck by severe ailment, Kano sports fraternity has abandoned him.
Agi as he is been fondly called by soccer fans, in his hey days was among the frontline footballers that brought pride to the ancient city, in his day, invoking smiles on the faces of followers of the round leather game.
Agi in the 70’ and 80’s was a renown football star with Darma football club of Kano , where he reigned supreme.
Speaking with sports writers in Kano Agi said “ I thank God, I am recuperating, I want to thank sports journalists, who always and kept reviving my memories on the minds of Kano people.
“I have been sick, no doubt, I am in dire need of various kind of support at this time, in all I give thanks to Allah, who has sustained me.
“I spent all the better part of my life serving sports, particularly football, even when I retired from active football, I was involved in the management of the game, before now, I was always drown in sea of sports people in the industry, since I fell sick the story has changed.
“I know and I am sure I lived with everybody in peace, why suddenly did they all ran away from me, I am not happy with this, I want to always see sports people around me, this gives me joy, this gives me strength.
“I want to appeal to people in the football sector, if I have wronged them they should forgive me, but I Agi know for sure that I lived in peace with all, they should not avoid me, I want to see them always, it feeds my heart with joy, when I see people from the sports family milling around me, the way it used to be before, I fell sick, it gladdens my heart.
