Kano deputy Gov, Muritala Sule Garo vows to operate open door policy
Kano State Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, has pledged that, would his doors remain open for advice and constructive suggestions made for the development and progress of the State.
Garo made this known , while receiving executives of the Kano State chapter of the Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) in his office last Monday.
He expressed gratitude to the delegation for their renown appreciation of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s gesture of 20 Hajj seats donated to members of JIBWIS to partake in the 2026 pilgrimage .
“This demonstrates the Governor’s commitment to supporting religious institutions in promoting the teachings and practice of Islam in accordance with the Sunnah,” Garo said.
Earlier, the Chairman , JIBWIS , Kano chapter of JIBWIS, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan, disclosed that the purpose of their visit was to congratulate the Deputy Governor on his new status .
Pakistan, who is the immediate past Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), prayed for Allah’s guidance and wisdom for the Deputy Governor and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the discharge of their responsibilities.
“I pray for Allah’s guidance in your new position, alongside Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf,” .
He also described Murtala Garo as a loyal, dedicated, and exemplary leader worthy of emulation.
“We equally appreciate the Governor for fostering unity among the various Islamic groups in the state and promoting peaceful coexistence,” .
While offering prayers sustained peace, Stability and security in the state and Nigeria at large , Pakistan assured the administration of the group’s continued support through prayers and meaningful advice to ensure the success of Governor Yusuf’s administration.
