Kano State government has constituted a thirty member technical working committee in the transport policy dialogue.
Inaugurating the committee, the state Commissioner of Transportation, Engr. Muhammad Ibrahim Diggol said the terms of reference of the committee is to conduct the general review of the transport policy options in the draft transport policy development and to develop the best possible options to actualize the state vision on transport.
The commissioner, however, said the committee is also mandated to identify the missing gabs in the draft transport policy development and to reflect to the realities apart from developing a full transport policy green paper for the state.
The commissioner said the committee is expected to submit its report on the 20th of the month, calling on members of the committee to work round the clock to achieve the set goals.
Engr. Diggol said the committee has Professor J.A. Falola from Yusuf Maitama Sule University as chairman while professor Adamu Idris Tanko, the Vice Chancellor Baba Ahmed University as co-chairman.
Other members of the Committee include Professor Bamidele Badejo, Abdulkadir Muhammad Danbazau from Aliko Dangote University, Bello Abba Yakasai, Dr Aisha Sa’id Bala, Professor Ibrahim Barde as well as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Internally ,:
