Kano Assembly pledges commitment with NILDS for realization of Legislative responsibilities.

The Kano Assembly, in collaboration with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), organized a two-day secondary schools quiz competition on Legislature and Democracy held at the complex premises of the Kano Assembly on 17/9/2024.

While presenting the keynote address, Hon Sulaiman Mukhtar Ishak who represent Speaker Kano State House of Assembly Rt Hon jibril Ismail Falgore mentioned that the Kano Assembly, under the able leadership of Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore plays significant roles in enhancing the educational standard, including the approval of the highest percentage allocated to the education sector in the 2024 budget.

In a press statement issued by Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai the Spokesperson to the Rt. Hon. Speaker, on Thursday, Hon. Sulaiman Mukhtar Ishak, a member representing the Madobi constituency, further expressed that the 10th Assembly will continue to work hand in hand with NILDS to ensure the successful realization of legislative responsibilities.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Commissioner of Education, the Director of School Educational Services, Haj. Halima Abubakar highlighted the contributions of the Kano State Ministry of Education, especially in the areas of renovating dilapidated schools across the state.

The Director General of NILDS, represented by Ali Abdallah, stated that this event was the third edition in consecutive years. As NILDS, we reiterate our commitment to continue supporting secondary school quiz competitions on Legislature and Democracy for the betterment of our youth.

The secondary schools that participated in the quiz competition on Legislature and Democracy include Rumfa College, GSS Bichi, Kano Capital, GSS Rano, GSS Gwarzo, and GSS Kura.
