A 20 years old man Ahmed Ali has drown and died inside an open water in Laraba Albasawa village in Gezawa Local Government Area, Kano.
The maternal uncle to the deceased, Musa Mahmuda in an exclusive telephone chat told our reporter , late Ali got drown inside an open water under what he described as a mysterious circumstance.
Musa said “we were at home, when some members of the community came to inform us that Ahmed has got drown, inside an open water , we rushed there and could not trace him.
“we called for help, later officers from the state fire service came and recovered his lifeless body from the open water, we have buried him according to Islamic final rites.” Musa stated.
The Public Relations Officer. Kano state Fire Service Command, Superintendent of Fire, SFS Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, who confirmed the demise of the drown man, said that the was launched by men of the command 15 minutes after the command received a distress call from the village in Gezawa.
He said “one Ahmed Ali was rescued unconscious from inside an open water in Larabawa village and was later confirmed dead, we handed over his body to his relatives.
