2023: Youth groups accuse northern politicians of poor performance

A youth group under the auspices of National Youth Inclusive in Governance Organization (NYIGO) has blamed the Northern politicians for failing to provide them with mentorship that will propel their prospects in life.
The group has vowed that at the forth coming polls in 2023, they will mobilize their peers to elect persons that are credible enough to manage public offices.
The National President of the group , Yusuf Shariff Banki while briefing journalists during its North East Zonal Caucus Round Table Strategic meeting held at Pali Suit, last Saturday in Bauchi, note that the youth have been neglected, forced to surrender to their fate.
According to Banki, negligence and failure in providing good mentorship by northern leaders, which has culminated into the failure by the north to compete favorably in the grooming of future political leaders.
He stressed that the northern region is blessed with potentials young talented people who can compete in every sector of human endeavour, but left behind due to poor mentorship from their political leaders in the region.
“Now its no longer a business as usual, we’ll only going to vote for a competent and credible candidate coming 2023 general elections, adding that the success of the exercise will clearly road map for another journey to the next dispensation in democracy.
