1st Nigeria Para Sports Festival: 147 man Kano contingent set to storm FCT Abuja

Kano state state will dispatch 147 man contingent to take part in the inaugural edition of Nigeria’s Paralympic Sports Festival, pyramidsportsnews.com reports.
The biggest sports festival for Persons Living With Disabilities is organized by the Federal ministry of Youths and Sports.
The special sports festival is fixed for 9th to 15th April 2022., in FCT Abuja.
The chairman, Kano state Sports Commission, KSSC, Ibrahim Galadima speaking with sports writers in Kano disclosed that the state will dispatch 147 man contingent comprising of athletes, coaches, organizing secretaries medical personel and journalists to feature at the special fiesta.
Speaking on the level of preparedness of the state contingent, he revealed that the state athletes will feature in 10 events out of the 15 games on the list of para activities schedule to hold at the festival.
Galadima said “ preparations have gone far, our athletes are training at different centres, we have already made commitments by registering for the games.
“we thank the state government for the support, our 2022 calendar is loaded, we are striving hard to make sure Kano state is fully represented and not just to compete but to make our marks by making the state proud.” Galadima stated.
