Tinubu, Kano people and the Dividends of Democracy.

Since the assumption of office by incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu , the people of Kano state have continued to enjoy special care , regard and concern from Mr President.
Just few days, after the Kwankwasiyya led administration was sworn into power in Kano , their first policy was to embark on massive demolitions, such that the state has never witnessed in its history.
As tension rised , using diplomatic means President Tinubu ended it and normalcy returned to the ancient city.
After former Kano Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje assumed office as the National Chairman of the ruling APC, many indigenes of Kano state were appointed into President Tinubu’s government. Due to the large number of these appointees from Kano state one cannot easily enumerate .
Tinubu’s administration has spent Trillions of naira on the building of infrastructures across the state, this no doubt will lead to continuous rapid development and socio economic growth of the state.
President Tinubu’s administration also didn’t abandon, cancel or stopped infrastructures works started by the previous administrations , as it’s the tradition with many past governments.
Tinubu’s administration continued with those works , which includes Kano to Kaduna Highway, Kano to Katsina road, Kano to Maiduguri road, Railway from Kano to Abuja and Railway from Kano to Maradi .
The Tinubu administration also ended the long standing dispute delaying the construction of 38 kilometer Kano Northern Bypass and work continues.
Also the work from Kano to Hadejia in Jigawa state.
President Tinubu also awarded the new contract for rehabilitation and expansion of Tiga Dam to boost Irrigation farming that will provide more jobs and increase income to the people of Kano, while at the same time providing food security.
These are mentioned some works on infrastructures going on in Kano state.
In areas of providing food security as Engr. Rabiu Suleiman Bichi MD Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Kano have been saying, the River Basin with its headquarter in Kano was allocated the highest amount to help it boost Irrigation farming, protection of Dams, water channels and opening thousands of Hectres of lands , for all season farming that will lead to increase of food, that can feed the country and even been exported.
In area of education, new higher institutions were upgraded to University i.e Kabo and new one to be built in Rano. Thousands of students also benefitted from NELFUND to help them study with ease.
Kano state also host the headquarter of North West Development Commission which will help to facilitate development in many areas.
And suddenly Tinubu administration awarded contract for light railway that will cost about 1.5 Trillion naira to turn Kano to world class city.
Kano state under Tinubu administration, the state enjoys building of infrastructures and people from the state appointed into many positions of power. If APC stewards are trumpeting dividends of democracy the state is enjoying like Engr. Rabiu Suleiman Bichi and Hon. Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso then by now President Tinubu should not even bother to come to Kano for his re election campaign.
Kano state presently enjoys dividends of democracy under Tinubu administration, just like the state never witnessed from 1999 after the return to democracy.
The people of Kano are aware of propaganda by the opposition that the North is been short changed. But they know it’s pure propaganda and that’s the reason why the opposition is totally weak in the state. Many infrastructural works are on going and large numbers of those appointed from the state also help in crippling the opposition in Kano state.
Former Governor of Kano state and erstwhile national chairman of the ruling APC Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje got the highest votes in Nigeria for President Tinubu, during the 2023 presidential election. His team is still intact and even received main leaders of the opposition from NNPP Kwankwasiyya, during 2023 election into APC. And just recently the Kano APC endorsed President Tinubu for second term due to his great work to make Nigeria great again.
Kano APC is more stronger than APC was in 2023 in the state with Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje the leader, the Director General Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council is on ground, Hon. Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso feared by the opposition is on ground, the Kano APC Chairman Prince Abdullahi Abbas and many strong stalwarts of the party are all on ground. The votes President Tinubu will receive from Kano come 2027 will be more than double of votes he received during 2023 presidential election.
The great people of Kano appreciates President Tinubu and hope more infrastructures will be sited in the state.
