The Kano State House of Assembly fell into confusion when the Speaker of the House, Jibril Ismail Falgore, called the former governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as acting national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Labaran Abdul Madari and some members of the APC parliament raised the issue, where they said that Ganduje is now the full national chairman of the APC and not the acting chairman.
The council then adjourned until today’s Tuesday.
Also the Kano State House of Assembly returned to sitting after the 48-day break, left after passing the bill to abolish the five Emirates of Kano State.
