Nigerian sports needs a veteran sports technocrat Dikko who would sports sector – Kabir Baita,,

The appointment of former second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, Alhaji Shehu Dikko as the Chairman/Director General of the newly established National Sports Commission, NSC by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a well deserved appointment.

The former chairman, Kano Pillars football club , Alhaji Kabiru Baita, reacting shortly after the appointment was announced said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made a judicious use of his discretionary powers in the appointment of Shehu Dikko.

He said the choice of Dikko is timely, stressing that, it came at a time when Nigerian sports needs a veteran sports technocrat that would rescue the ailing situation in the sports sector. .
He described Shehu Dikko as someone, who is spiritedly committed to sports development, while expressing the confidence that Dikko will not disappoint President Tinubu and the entire nation and the sports family.
He further described Shehu Dikko as honest, dedicated, patient , humane and is always ready to serve humanity.

Baita urged the new chairman/Director General of the Commission to carry everybody along, while discharging his duties.
He also urged him to deploy his vast experience to revive the glory of sports in the country and afar.
It would be recalled that Alhaji Shehu Dikko had served in various capacities in the sports industry ,.prominent among the positions he held includes Chairman League Management Company, second vice president Nigeria Football Federation, NFF , serves as a committee member in various committees in the continental football governing g body (CAF) among others.
Alhaji Shehu Dikko was appointed as Chairman/Director General of the National Sports Commission today Wednesday 23/10/2024 by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a minor cabinet reshuffle of ministerial appointees.
