Kano: Nigeria police arraigns 19 years old man in court over alleged attempt to kill self
Kano police command has arraigned an 19 years old man, Ibrahim Abubakar,before Kano chief magistrate court no 5 sitting at Gyadi Gyadi quarters , for the alleged offence of an attempt to commit suicide.
According to police force information report, the defendant had mounted an advertisement bill board located along Maiduguri road, adding that the defendant had threatened to fall off from the bill board.
The court heard that the defendant informed the mammoth crowd that gathered at the scene that he would kill himself and would only refrain from doing so only if Abdul BK a popular Kannywood actor appears at the scene.
The prosecution told the court that the police had a rigorous task before it could succeed in rescuing the defendant from executing his intent to commit suicide, adding that the popular Kannywood actor, Abdul Bk also arrived at the scene, assenting to the demands of the defendant.
The matter is adjourned for further mention.
