Kano House of Assembly sack LG boss, ask Vice chairman to take over
Kano state House of Assembly, KSHA last Tuesday suspended the executive chairman of Gwale local government, Kalid Ishaq Diso.
The lawmakers imposed the sanction , on the council boss , over his temporary indictment in alleged cases of the abuse of his office.
The house effected the suspension, after receiving the submission of the report by an adhoc committee set up to investigate allegations that were levied against the chairman by the elected councilors in the LG..
Our correspondent gathered that the investigative committee led by Hon. Zubairu Hamza Masu, stated that the chairman has allegedly admitted the accusations against him, that were bordering on the sales of local government properties without following laid down due process.
The state house of assembly reliant on the outcome of the adhoc committee’s report opted to suspend the local government chairman.
The lawmakers also assigned the elected council vice chairman to take over the affairs of the council, pending the outcome of further investigations into the matter.
