GUSAU/AHLAN 2024 PRE SEASON GETS NEW KICK OFF DATE

The Nigeria football federation President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau MON pre season tournament tagged Gusau/Ahlan 2024 kick off date has been shifted to one week.
The Co ordinator of the tournament Alhaji Abahurarai Dahiru said the tournament kick off date has been moved to 20th of this month not 13th of this month as earlier announced.
Alhaji Abahurarai Dahiru said the organizing committee of the tournament shifted the kick off date after due consultations to some stakeholders which agreed that do to the recent End of bad government protest in some parts of the country the date should be moved forward for a week.
Abahurarai said the venue remained new stadium Zaria road Jos in the capital city of plateau state.
He said already sixteen football teams across the country from NPFL and NNL agreed to participate in the tournament.
He said with this development all the participating teams are expected to arrived Jos on 19th of this month (19/8/2024) and draws to be held on the arrival date while the opening match would be kick off on 20/8/2024 at New stadium Zaria road Jos by Four o’clock in the evening (4Pm).
The Co ordinator said plateau State Governor Barrister Caleb Mutfwang would be the special Quest of Honour while the Plateau State football Association Chairman, Honourable Suleiman Yahaya Kwande will be the Chief host.
Alhaji Abahurarai Dahiru commended the plateau state Government for accepting to host the tournament which he expressed confidence that it will be a memorable and successful tournament.
He expressed the committee dismay for the inconveniences the postponement of the kick off date May cause to all participating teams and other relevant stakeholders.
The Co ordinator reaffirmed that all machineries have been put in place by the organizing committee and assured that the tournament would be a testing ground to the participating teams ahead of the forthcoming 2024/2025 football Season.
