Kano football administrator cry foul over Kano Pillars federation cup fixture against Rangers
Kano born football administrator Ibrahim Usman Naalungu has dismissed the federation Cup fixture that pitched Kano Pillars’ Federation against Enugu Rangers.
According to him the fixture failed to consider the intense heat in Abuja , couple with fact that the players’ were observing the Ramadan, he said scheduling the match for 10:00 AM may had put Kano Pillars at a disadvantage.
He said however ^The key issue here is whether Kano Pillars FC formally requested for a schedule adjustment.
Adding that ^ if no complaint was lodged, the organizers would not be under obligation to make changes.
Arzai’ stressed that argument that proactive leadership from the current Kano Pillars management like filing of an official request or protest could have helped the call for a fairer match time—especially considering that another team, Barau FC, was allowed to play in the evening.
He said the incidence raises broader concerns about the pattern of football administration in Kano State.
He posit that club leaders should be more vocal in advocating for their teams.
He urged the national football authorities to be more considerate about religious and climatic factors when scheduling matches.
