Kano Network for Orphans and Human Development Mourns the Passing of Alh. Yahya Bashir, Renowned Philanthropist

The Kano Network for Orphans and Human Development is deeply saddened to announce the death of Alh. Mukhtar Yahya Bashir, a serving Assistant Controller of Customs and a dedicated philanthropist.

Alh. Bashir passed away on December 4th, 2024, in Egypt after battling a prolonged illness.

Alh. Yahya Bashir’s immense contributions to the organization include the provision of a vehicle dedicated to serving orphans, the establishment of a Tahfeez school for orphans, and the initiation of an annual feeding program for orphans.

These efforts, among others, have had a significant positive impact on the lives of many vulnerable children in our community.

The Kano Network for Orphans and Human Development prays to Almighty Allah to grant Alh. Yahya Bashir Jannatul Firdaus and provide his family with the strength to bear this painful loss.

In a statement, the Chairman of the organization, Comrade Adam Umar, described the passing of Alh. Yahya Bashir as an immense loss to the orphans’ community in Kano State. His legacy of selflessness and commitment to the well-being of orphans will continue to inspire us.
