Minister Ata Honoured by Alumni.
Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Yusif Abdullahi Ata, says the Aminu Kano Community Commercial College is a source of pride to all students who graduated from the college 43 years ago.
The Minister made the disclosure on Saturday at a reception organized in his honor by his alma mater in Kano.
Hon. Ata said the college produced technocrats who have contributed to the political and economic development of Kano State and the nation at large. Adding that this is a source worthy of pride.
Hon. Minister, who was in a happy mood, narrated the political history of his trajectory to the post of minister. He said the power belongs to the highest providence – the Almighty God.
Adding that “as a leader, particularly a political trailblazer, one has to face reality to do what is needful to govern people with the fear of God.”
Earlier in his speech, the event organizer and former Accountant General of the federation, Alh. Ahmed Idris, said the alumni of the Aminu Kano Community Commercial College should continue to make the long years of college studentship a bond of everlasting brotherly love.
He said the glory was in the bygone days of their studentship in Aminu Kano Community Commercial College, Kano, a lifetime journey that should live up to the point of unimaginable proportion of living together from generation to generation.
Finally, the encyclopedic Professor of Bayero University, Kano, Mallam Umar Sani Fagge presented the closing remarks with a suggestion of spiritual food for thought for the celebrant minister as well as the invitees with regard to the task shouldered upon the leaders and their subjects.
The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Yusif Abdullahi Ata, was honored with a prestigious award, well-packaged and presented by Alh. Bashir Dantata on behalf of the entire alumni students of the Kano Community Commercial College, Kano, who were taught together 43 years ago.
