Gombe inter secondary schools athletics get date

The Inter-Secondary Schools Athletics Competition had released its sub committees Reports after the committees 5th sitting held at the GOFCECON Hotel Gombe, on 10th August 2024.
In a communique issued at the end of Meeting and signed by the Chairman Main Organising Committee (MOC) the convener of the meeting, Hon. Ahmed Shuaibu Gara-Gombe Who expressed delight at the level of progress made and presented by Three Sub Committees namely, Transport, Accommodation, Media and Technical Committee.
Meanwhile, The First reports was presented by Secretary Mr Tanko Adamu and was unanimously accepted owing to the progress made so far and following relentless efforts deployed in visiting the proposed Schools (Games Villages.)
The Sub Committee also presented a letter of approval by the SUBEB Gombe, Educational Secretary and Ministry of Education.
The secretary noted areas that needed urgent attention, such as toilets and urgent need for Environmental sanitation (GOSEPA) to fumigate the Games Village.
Other sub committee report on media was presented by Secretary Yakubu Maikudi, pan-out the Radio jingle content which was approved by MoC after deliberation.
Meanwhile, another task on the committee was the introduction of a model in disseminating series of development which attracted additional budget.
The third report presentation was by Technical committee secretary, Simon Ayuba which centred on Medals, Meal Tickets, Committee Tags, and Numbering tags for Athletes in Camp.
Lastly, the MoC boss Hon. Ahmad Shuaib Gara Gombe, accepted and agreed with Main Organising Committee on the resolutions..
The 29th September, 2024 was accepted be the date for the Opening Ceremony of the first Gombe State Inter Secondary Schools Athletics Championship .
The Appointment of Assistant Superintendent of Police, (ASP) Jauro Usman of the Nigeria police force as the substantive Camp Commandant, Assisted by Mr. Ibrahim Isyaku, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps. And ketos Jerry Turawa from GOSTEC as member.
A formal letter to be sent to GOSEPA requesting an intervention from the
Fumigation and Malaria Control Agency to assist with mosquitoes nets.
The meeting was adjourned till next Week as more sub committees are be expected to lay their reports before the Main Organising Committee.
