One Ahmed Jali a resident of Dawakin Tofa Local Government in Kano North senatorial zone has allegedly murdered a 70 years old man, Umma, he accused the woman of being a witch.
The suspected killer of the woman , who is said to still be at large is reported to have continually accused the late woman of been responsible for his life travails.
A resident of the village, who spoke to our reporter, under the condition of anonymity via telephone said “ Jali has always told us that the woman was a witch.
“He said he use to see her in his dream, that she is the persons behind all his problems, he promised to eliminate her to end all his life troubles.”
The day he killed her, the 70 years old woman had gone to the community well to fetch water for domestic use, when Jali attacked her.
“Jali used pestle and other dangerous weapons on her, the old woman suffered a fractured leg, she was taken to hospital they stitched her injuries, but she later died.” The neighbor alleged.
The public relations officer, Kano police command, Dsp Abdullahi Kiyawa speaking on the matter said the case of murder in Dawaki Tofa is yet to be formally reported to the police.
Dsp Kiyawa appealed to Kano residents to always remain law abiding.
