The Kano State Censorship Board is set to introduce stricter measures to curb the proliferation of graffiti and the use of indecent language on tricycles, locally known as “Adaidaita Sahu.”
This initiative is part of the board’s broader effort to preserve the cultural and moral integrity of the state.Abba El-Mustapha, a representative of the board, emphasized the importance of maintaining a respectful public transportation system.
“We are dedicated to ensuring that our tricycles reflect the values and decorum of our society. The rampant graffiti and indecent language on these vehicles are not acceptable. We will be implementing stringent actions against violators to uphold our standards,” he stated.
To ensure effective enforcement of these new regulations, the board will collaborate with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
Tricycle operators are strongly urged to comply with these guidelines to avoid penalties and contribute to a clean and respectful environment for all passengers.
