Kano state House of Assembly pass 437 billion, 2024 budget

Kano State House of Assembly has passed 437 billion and 338 million naira 2024 appropriation law.
The House Clerk, Bashir Idris Diso presented the budget for third phase reading.
The House Speaker Jibril Isma’il Fangore said that the budget was increased from 350 billion to 437 billion and 338 million.
He explained that 64 percent of the budget will be expended on capital projects and 36 percent will be spent on recurrent expenditures.
The majority leader Lawan Hussaini Chediyar ‘Yan Gurasa said that the budget allotted huge percentage to education.
Adding that the budget spending is targeted to address issues of health , provision of roads in rural areas, youth and women empowerment , agriculture and other important projects for the development of communities.
